Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended southern California coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Footage posted on social media show the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then plunging near the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palms and a steps near the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters stated five people were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
