Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Honour
Announced recently
English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
